Is Patroclus a noble comrade and warrior?

Patroclos is a noble comrade and warrior. Do you agree? Prove your answer by citing details from the book.

No,  Patroclus is a not  noble comrade and warrior because of his lust for combat. Patroclus pursued the Trojans all the way back to the gates of Troy, defying Achilles' order to break off combat once the ships were saved.  He also dressed as Achilles by his armor and led the Myrmidons. Unlike Achilles, he doesn’t have the bravery, leadership and combat skills in him. Patroclus was stunned by Apollo, wounded by Euphorbos, and finished off by Hector.

“Now, pay attention to what I will tell you about the goal I have in mind for you, so you’ll win me great honour and rewards, so all Danaans will send back to me that lovely girl and give fine gifts as well. Once you push Trojans from the ships, come back. If Zeus, Hera’s mate, who loves his thunder. Gives you glory, don’t keep on battling whose war-loving Trojans with me absent. You would decrease my honours. Don’t let the joy of fighting and killing Trojans lead you on to Ilion, just in case some deathless Olympian god attacks you. Apollo, the far-worker, loves his Trojans. So make sure you come back here again, once your saving light has reached our ships. Let others keep on fighting in the plain.”

Patroclus killed many Trojans and allies including the Lycian hero Sarpedon (a son of Zeus), and Cebriones (the chariot driver of Hector and illegitimate son of Priam).

“Patroclus and the Myrmidons then charge into battle and both sides do in fact believe that it is the great Achilles himself who has retaken the field. Mowing men down like grass, Patroclus pushes the Trojans back from the Greek encampments and way from the Greek fleet.”
